Securr’s Custom Receptacles for the Petaluma Reusable Cup Project

At Securr, we take pride in designing custom receptacles that meet the unique needs of our clients while supporting sustainability. Our latest project is a perfect example of this commitment. We recently had the opportunity to custom-design a new receptacle based on our indoor medical waste kiosk for the Petaluma Reusable Cup Project. We started with an initial run of 35 units and expect this program to expand as it gains momentum.

The Petaluma Reusable Cup Project is an innovative initiative aimed at reducing single-use cup waste in the community. By providing a system where customers can borrow, return, and reuse cups at participating locations, this project is making a significant impact on reducing landfill waste. However, for this program to work effectively, they needed a durable and user-friendly collection system—one that could seamlessly integrate into cafes, restaurants, and other locations while ensuring returned cups remain clean and organized. That’s where we came in.

Leveraging our expertise in waste management solutions, we modified our indoor medical waste kiosk design to create a receptacle that meets the specific needs of the project. The result is a sleek, efficient, and easy-to-use bin that helps streamline the cup return process. Our receptacles ensure that returned cups are securely stored and can be properly sanitized before being recirculated, making participation effortless for both businesses and customers.
